The disappearance of Shakeira Yvonne Rucker is being investigated as a homicide after her body was found in a storage unit registered to her estranged husband, according to Florida law enforcement officials. Rucker was reported missing on November 13 by her family, who said they last saw her on November 11. They believed she may be in danger and possibly with her estranged husband, Cory Hill. The search for Rucker involved multiple law enforcement agencies, including the FBI, and spanned four counties. The search ended on Saturday when authorities discovered her body in a storage unit in Apopka. Rucker was found dead from apparent gunshot wounds. Hill, who is the prime suspect, was already in custody on unrelated charges of attempted murder. He had allegedly shot at a former girlfriend and her family on November 12. The motive for Rucker’s murder is still unknown, and the investigation is ongoing.
