Air India Passenger’s Terrifying Experience: Water Leaking in Cabin Raises Safety Concerns

Passengers on an Air India flight from London to Amritsar had an unpleasant experience when water began leaking from the overhead hand baggage storage. Air India expressed regret over the incident, stating that it was unexpected. A video was posted on X (formerly Twitter), showing water dripping from the panel gaps of the overhead storage onto some of the seats.

In the post, the individual took a dig at Air India, now owned by Tata Sons, saying, “Air India… fly with us – it’s not a trip; it’s an immersive experience.” Tata Sons had taken control of Air India after nearly 70 years since its nationalization, raising hopes for improved service delivery.

Air India explained that flight AI169 from Gatwick to Amritsar on November 24 experienced a rare occurrence of condensation adjustment within the cabin. The affected passengers were relocated to other vacant seats, and the crew made efforts to ensure their comfort given the circumstances.

Air India emphasized its commitment to the safety and comfort of its passengers and expressed regret over the unexpected incident.
