Microsoft has appointed Aparna Gupta as the new Global Delivery Center (GDC) leader, according to an official announcement. In her new role, Gupta will oversee customer innovation and delivery excellence. The GDC, which serves as the delivery arm of Industry Solutions Delivery, was established in Hyderabad in 2005 and has since expanded to include two more locations in Bangalore and Noida. The GDC encompasses four Centers of Excellence (CoE) in areas such as app innovation, data and Artificial Intelligence, infra and security, and business applications. Additionally, it includes functions like partner and delivery management and adoption management.
Puneet Chandok, President of Microsoft India and South Asia, expressed his delight at Gupta’s promotion, stating, “We are delighted to announce Aparna’s elevation as the lead of GDC. Her extensive experience and deep knowledge of Microsoft technologies will help customers plan and deploy future-ready solutions, especially in the age of AI, and maximize the value of their investment in Microsoft. Her leadership will play a vital role in our continued success in the region and globally.” Maureen Costello, Corporate Vice President of Microsoft Industry Solutions Delivery, also praised Gupta’s expertise and leadership qualities, expressing confidence in her ability to guide the GDC team to further success.
In response to her appointment, Gupta expressed her enthusiasm for working with the GDC teams to enhance technical expertise across solution areas and foster a strong team culture focused on delivering excellence to customers. She acknowledged the existing strong foundation within the team and expressed her determination to take it to the next level.
Gupta has been with Microsoft for six years, initially joining as the India lead for Commercial Software Engineering (now ISE). According to the release, she has made a positive impact on the business during her tenure.
