Boyfriend’s Fridge Holds Remains of Missing Texas Woman

A woman who had been missing for several months in Texas was tragically found dead inside her boyfriend’s refrigerator, authorities have confirmed. Heather Louise Schwab, a 35-year-old resident of McKinney, was reported missing by her mother, Tammra Schwab, in June. Tammra informed the police that her daughter was involved in an abusive relationship with Chad Christopher Stevens, aged 42, according to a federal complaint.

For months, law enforcement had no substantial leads in the case until Tammra reached out to authorities on November 3rd. She revealed that Steven’s ex-wife had informed her that Stevens had killed Heather and buried her in their garden. Acting upon this information, McKinney Police obtained a search warrant and thoroughly examined Steven’s residence. During the search, they discovered a refrigerator in the kitchen that was meticulously wrapped in an excessive amount of plastic wrap. Shockingly, inside this refrigerator, they found the lifeless body of Heather Schwab.

According to reports, Stevens allegedly confessed to authorities that Heather had passed away at his residence in July 2022. He claimed that he had placed her body in the refrigerator because he was unsure of what to do. As a result, Stevens has been charged with tampering with evidence with the intent to impair a human corpse.

This distressing case has left the community in shock and mourning for Heather’s untimely death. The investigation into the circumstances surrounding her passing is ongoing, as authorities work tirelessly to gather all the necessary evidence.

Heather’s tragic story serves as a painful reminder of the devastating consequences of domestic abuse. It highlights the urgent need for increased awareness and support for those who find themselves trapped in such dangerous situations.
