In a shocking incident captured on a CCTV camera in Bhiwani, Haryana, four men on two bikes opened fire on a local resident standing outside his home. The video, which has now gone viral, shows a brave woman chasing away the shooters with just a coconut broom.
The target of the attack has been identified as Harikishan, who is currently out on bail and is accused in the murder case of Ravi Boxer, who was believed to have connections with gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. Three months ago, the Bhiwani police had arrested five people suspected of planning an attack on Harikishan.
The incident occurred at around 7:30 am in Dabur Colony. The CCTV footage shows the shooters firing nine rounds, resulting in Harikishan sustaining four bullet injuries. He has been referred to PGIMS Rohtak for treatment, according to police officer Deepak.
The video begins with a seemingly ordinary scene, with Harikishan standing near the gate of his home. Suddenly, two bikes stop beside him, and the pillion riders open fire. Harikishan tries to run past the gates but falls to his knees outside them, presumably hit by bullets. However, he manages to enter his home and shut the gates.
The shooters approach the gates and continue firing. They even attempt to open the gates when a courageous woman appears in the frame, wielding an inverted coconut broom. She charges at the armed shooters, surprising them. One of the shooters fires at her but misses. The four men then flee on their bikes. It remains unclear whether the woman is a family member of Harikishan or a neighbor whose intervention saved his life. She is later seen entering the home to check on his condition.
The police are currently analyzing the CCTV footage in an effort to identify and track down the shooters and the two riders accompanying them. The incident has sparked widespread shock and concern in the local community.
