Marcelo Nistarda Antoniassi, a 49-year-old man, was married to his wife Milena Dantas Bereta Nistarda, a 53-year-old woman, both hailing from Brazil. They shared a bond of matrimony that spanned over 29 years. Over the course of their marriage, they had a son together and were also raising a daughter Marcelo had from a previous relationship. To the outside world, their marriage seemed like a picture-perfect portrait of a happy family. However, behind closed doors, Milena was subjected to relentless abuse from her husband. Antoniassi exercised controlling behavior, often confining her to the apartment for days on end. He also forced her into non-consensual sexual activities.
The couple’s children grew up and eventually moved out of their parents’ home. Unfortunately, this led to an escalation in the frequency and intensity of the abuse Milena was subjected to. It reached a point where she could no longer bear the torment. Upon discovering on her mobile phone that her husband had been tracking her movements, she made the decision to report him to the police. On a fateful Thursday morning, she reached out to the local police department, seeking protection from her abusive husband.
In a tragic turn of events, four hours after Milena reported the abuse, Antoniassi drove his car into the facade of the building, causing significant damage. He then forced his way into the building, armed with a knife. In a horrific act of violence, he attacked Milena, stabbing her multiple times before removing her heart and other organs. Shortly after this gruesome incident, the police arrived on the scene. They were met with a shocking sight: a man, soaked in blood, still clutching the knife he had used to commit the heinous act. He pleaded with the police to end his life. However, the police officers, trained to handle such situations, engaged in negotiation tactics and were eventually able to persuade him to surrender. Antoniassi was then taken into custody. As for Milena, arrangements are being made for her burial, which is scheduled for next week, following the completion of the autopsy. The tragic tale of Milena’s life and death has been documented by Bild, a German tabloid.
