However, in 2020, Wiley began to attract negative attention due to a series of anti-Jewish comments he made on social media platforms. In one instance, he even compared Jewish people to the Ku Klux Klan, a white supremacist group.
As a result of these remarks, Wiley’s Jewish manager decided to end their professional relationship. This incident sparked a public outcry in Britain, with many calling for Wiley to lose his MBE title.
Subsequently, Wiley expressed regret for his remarks during an interview with British Sky News. He explained that his comments stemmed from a disagreement with his manager, according to BBC reports.
Despite efforts to contact Wiley for his comments on the loss of his title, the BBC was unable to reach him.
