Cassidy Hutchinson, a former White House aide to Donald Trump’s Chief of Staff Mark Meadows, has urged Americans to vote for President Joe Biden in the 2024 election if they want to preserve democracy. During an interview with MSNBC’s Jen Psaki, Hutchinson expressed her refusal to vote for Donald Trump and her hope that he does not become the Republican nominee next year. She believes that the country will be in a better place if Trump is not chosen. Hutchinson also emphasized the importance of voting for Joe Biden to ensure the survival of democracy.
Hutchinson has been openly critical of Trump since her time in his administration. She provided testimony to the House Jan. 6 committee, discussing the former president’s actions during the Capitol insurrection. This led to criticism and attacks from Trump and his supporters. Hutchinson has since released a memoir that includes damning allegations about Trump and her experiences working for him.
In a September interview with CNN’s Jake Tapper, Hutchinson stated that she believes Trump poses the greatest threat to democracy in her lifetime and possibly in American history. Despite facing multiple criminal indictments with 91 felony counts, Trump remains ahead of his rivals in the polls for the Republican presidential nomination.
