The Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Lucknow, is set to release the admit cards for the Common Admission Test (CAT 2023) on November 7. The examination will take place on November 26 at various locations across the country. Candidates who have registered for the MBA entrance exam must download their hall tickets from the official website, iimcat.ac.in. The exam will be conducted in three shifts – morning (8.30am-10.30am), middle (12.30pm-2.30pm), and evening (4.30pm-6.30pm).
A total of 1,164 colleges, including 138 government colleges and 1,026 private colleges, will offer admission to MBA programs based on CAT scores. This year, there has been a significant increase in the number of aspirants, with approximately 3.3 lakh individuals registering for the CAT exam in 2023, which is 75,000 more than the previous year.
To download their admit cards, candidates need to enter their user ID and password on the CAT admit card download link. The admit card will contain important details such as examination centers, timing, assigned shifts, and guidelines for the exam day.
The CAT syllabus and exam pattern for 2023 are as follows:
– Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension (VARC): 24 questions
– Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning (DILR): 20 questions
– Quantitative Aptitude (QA): 22 questions
Total: 66 questions
The allotted time for each section is as follows:
– Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension: 40 minutes
– Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning: 40 minutes
– Quantitative Aptitude: 40 minutes
For Persons with Disabilities (PwD) candidates, the designated time for each section is 53 minutes and 20 seconds. The total allotted time is 120 minutes for most candidates and 160 minutes for PwD students.
