A woman in Uttar Pradesh’s Maharajganj district caused a stir when she climbed a mobile tower to demand that her boyfriend fulfill his promise to marry her. The unidentified woman claimed that her boyfriend had cheated on her and was now refusing to commit to their marriage plans.
The incident occurred near Semra Raja Toll Plaza in the Bhitauli police station area. Onlookers gathered as the woman climbed to the top of the tower, reminiscent of the famous scene from the Bollywood film ‘Sholay’ where Dharmendra’s character drunkenly ascends a tower.
Authorities were alerted and police and rescue workers arrived at the scene. They managed to safely bring the woman down from the tower. Meanwhile, the woman’s boyfriend is currently missing, but his father has been taken into police custody for questioning.
The police are actively investigating the incident and making efforts to locate the woman’s boyfriend. Updates on the situation are awaited.
