Celebrities including Johny Lever, Sachin Pilgaonkar, and more bid a heartfelt farewell to Junior Mehmood

Veteran actor Junior Mehmood passed away on Thursday night at the age of 67 after battling cancer. Actors Johny Lever, Sachin Pilgaonkar, Raja Murad, Yashpal Sharma, Jaaved Jaaferi, Aditya Pancholi, and singer Sudesh Bhosale paid their last respects to him in Mumbai. Johny Lever, who had a close friendship with Junior Mehmood, spoke about their relationship and how he was inspired by the late actor’s performances. Other actors and friends also shared their condolences and memories of working with Junior Mehmood.

Junior Mehmood and Sachin Pilgaonkar had worked together as child artists in films like Bachpan, Brahmachari, and Geet Gaata Chal. Sachin Pilgaonkar shared a throwback picture with the late actor and expressed his sadness at his passing. He wrote, “My childhood friend and co-actor Jr Mehmood sadly passed away. I have so many beautiful memories with him that I will always cherish. Om shanti.”

In his last days, Junior Mehmood expressed his wish to meet Jeetendra and Sachin Pilgaonkar. Both actors fulfilled his last wish and visited him. Junior Mehmood’s family confirmed his death and mentioned that he had been in critical condition for the past 17 days.

Junior Mehmood had an illustrious career, appearing in over 260 films in various languages. Some of his notable films include Brahmachari, Kati Patang, Hare Raama Hare Krishna, Geet Gaata Chal, and Judaai. He also made appearances in television shows like Pyaar Ka Dard Hai Meetha Meetha Pyaara Pyaara and Ek Rishta Saajhedari Ka.
