Delhi Police Takes Legal Action Against Deepfake Video Involving Actress Rashmika Mandanna

The Delhi Police has filed a case over an AI-generated deepfake video of actor Rashmika Mandanna. The FIR was registered at the Special Cell police station and an investigation into the matter has been initiated. The police have charged the case under relevant sections of the IPC and the IT Act.

The Delhi Commission for Women has also taken note of the incident and has demanded action. The commission has requested a copy of the FIR and details of the accused to be provided by November 17. They emphasized the seriousness of the matter and expressed concern over no arrests being made so far.
