There were a total of one thousand applications that unfortunately had to be rejected. The common reason for these rejections was the fact that the application was submitted past the stipulated deadline.
Bankruptcy Back in October 2022, the Swedish agency known as Kammarkollegiet undertook an investigation into the claims made by customers of the travel agency, Detur Finland. The result of this investigation revealed that a little over 2,500 customers are indeed entitled to receive compensation. The total number of applications received by the agency was approximately 3,500.
Out of the total applications received, one thousand applications were unfortunately rejected. The primary reason for these rejections was that the application was submitted after the deadline. Another reason was that the applicant had already been compensated in some other form.
For compensation It is important to note that those who are deemed eligible for compensation will not receive the full amount they applied for. This is due to the fact that Detur Finland’s security deposit of 23.9 million kroner is insufficient to cover full compensation. As a result, customers will receive approximately 89 percent of the total compensation they applied for.
The Kammarkollegiet agency made an announcement on Friday stating that those who are eligible for compensation will soon receive a written decision in Swedish. They will also receive a summary of the decision in English. This information will be sent out within the next few days. The agency also stated that the amount in kroner will be converted to euros at the time of payment and then paid into the account specified by the recipient within the next few weeks.
