Dubai Airport Echoes with Chants of ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’ as PM Modi Receives Warm Welcome

Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Dubai on Thursday night to attend the 28th Conference of the Parties (COP28) Summit. He will be participating in the World Climate Action Summit of the COP28, which is scheduled for December 1.

As PM Modi landed at Dubai airport, members of the Indian diaspora, who were waiting outside a hotel, greeted him with enthusiasm. They sang ‘Saare Jahan Se Achha’ and chanted slogans of ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’ and ‘Vande Mataram’.

After his arrival, PM Modi took to his social media and expressed his excitement for the proceedings of the Summit, which aims to create a better planet. He also shared a video message on X, where he discussed his action-packed program for the next day.

During his visit, PM Modi will address the opening session of the World Climate Action Summit and participate in three high-level side events, two of which will be co-hosted by India. He will also attend a special event hosted by the UAE on transforming climate finance and host an event with the UAE on green credits.

In his departure statement, PM Modi highlighted the concrete steps on climate action and sustainable development included in the G20 New Delhi Leaders’ Declaration. He expressed his gratitude for the invitation from the President of the UAE and Ruler of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

The COP28 Summit, organized by the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), is taking place in Dubai from November 30 to December 12. Delegates from nearly 200 nations, including world leaders like PM Modi, will be present at the summit.
