Exclusive: Tesla’s upcoming Model S variant to feature revolutionary sport seats, leaked documents reveal

Tesla may be introducing new sport seats for its Model S, according to leaked images from the company’s service manual. Reddit user u/S3pirion shared the images, which show a diagram of removing and replacing the seats in the car. The presence of these images in the service manual suggests that the upgraded seats may be available as an after-purchase option. The leaked images also reveal a partial shot of the seat itself, which features a longer headrest and a new shape compared to the current Model S Plaid’s seats. There is also a cutout below the headrest that appears to display a stretched Plaid logo. The upholstery of the seats is expected to be updated, with synthetic leather being used even for the expensive Model S Plaid. Heating and ventilation will also be standard.

Tesla typically uses software to restrict certain features in its vehicles, with more expensive models having more features unlocked. However, it is not possible to bypass these restrictions when it comes to seats. Tesla has not provided any official details or hints about the new seats, and the company’s lack of a PR department makes it difficult to obtain information. It is possible that the new seats will be introduced in a future update of the Model S and Model S Plaid. Another internet user also discovered that the new Model 3 will be available with sport seats, leaving the Model Y as the only vehicle without a rumored seat upgrade.
