House Republicans appeared on Fox News on Wednesday and expressed their belief that President Joe Biden could face impeachment, despite the lack of evidence from their impeachment inquiry. During the interview with Sean Hannity, House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer claimed that Biden had profited from his family’s overseas business deals. When asked if they believed this would lead to impeachment, nearly all the Republicans in the room raised their hands. House Speaker Mike Johnson stated that they were following the truth, not using impeachment for political purposes. In response to Comer’s use of the term “bribery” in reference to the president, a White House spokesperson accused the House Republicans of going too far.
