India Investigates Alleged Murder Plot Involving US Individuals

During a press conference at the White House, National Security spokesperson John Kirby emphasized the importance of the strategic partnership between India and the US. He highlighted India’s membership in the Quad and their collaboration on various issues. Kirby stated, “We want to see that continue unabated. That said, at the same time, we certainly recognize the seriousness of these allegations.” He further added, “We want it fully investigated and those responsible to be held properly accountable.”

Kirby’s comments were in response to a query about the potential impact of the alleged plot on the India-US bilateral relationship. He acknowledged that the investigation was still ongoing and commended India for taking the matter seriously. He emphasized the importance of holding the perpetrators accountable but refrained from commenting further until the investigation was completed.
