India Star’s Mysterious Social Media Post Goes Viral After Series Win Against Australia

The Indian cricket team, led by Suryakumar Yadav, emerged victorious in the T20I series against Australia, clinching a 20-run win in Raipur on Friday. The team’s batsmen, including Rinku Singh, Jitesh Sharma, Yashasvi Jaiswal, and Ruturaj Gaikwad, played crucial roles in guiding India to a total of 174/9 in 20 overs. Following their impressive performance, the Indian bowlers took charge, with Axar Patel claiming three wickets and Deepak Chahar scalping two, restricting Australia to 154/7 in 20 overs. As a result, Axar Patel was declared the “Player of the Match.”

Axar Patel later revealed that he had experienced disappointment after missing out on the ODI World Cup due to an injury. It took him about a week to overcome the setback and shift his focus towards recovery. The 29-year-old cricketer had been part of the Indian team leading up to the World Cup. However, a left quadricep injury sustained during the Asia Cup forced him to withdraw, with Ravichandran Ashwin taking his place in the 15-member squad.

During a post-match press conference, Axar Patel expressed his initial disappointment, saying, “Obviously, you are bound to be (disappointed). The World Cup was in India, but that injury happened. For the first few days, I was thinking about it, not being able to play due to injury.” However, he quickly bounced back, returning to training and rehabilitation once the team’s performance improved.

Axar Patel acknowledged that being sidelined due to injury for a certain period can be challenging. He said, “But, yes, when you are out due to injury and those 5-10 days you are not able to do anything, you do feel a bit bad. After that, I returned to routine life.” He recognized that injuries are a part of the game and accepted it as part and parcel of being a professional athlete.

Despite the setback, Axar Patel made an impressive comeback to international cricket, claiming a total of five wickets in the series. His outstanding three-wicket haul played a significant role in India’s 20-run triumph in the fourth T20I match against Australia.

Reflecting on his return, Axar Patel shared his approach, stating, “When you come from injury, you try to keep that part of the body safe. You are not able to give your full effort. It stays in the back of my mind.” He emphasized the importance of taking care of his body and gradually regaining full confidence and form.

Axar Patel expressed his satisfaction with his performance, attributing it to the hard work he had put in over the past month and a half. He said, “Now I don’t feel anything like that and the work that I put in the last one-and-a-half months, I am reaping the reward now, so I am happy overall.”
