Israel Announces Hamas Has Released 12 Additional Hostages

Hamas and Islamic Jihad fighters have released several hostages to the Red Cross in Gaza as part of a prisoner exchange under an extended truce in the Israel-Hamas war. The hostages, who are all women, were handed over by masked and armed fighters from both Hamas and Islamic Jihad to Red Cross officials in Rafah, near the border with Egypt. According to the Israeli military, based on information received from the Red Cross, a total of 12 hostages, including 10 Israelis and two foreign nationals, are on their way to Israeli territory. The release of the two foreign hostages is in addition to the previously released 10 Israelis as per the terms of the deal.
