Ivanka Trump Receives Verbal Lashing from Lawyer Over ‘Brief’ Explanations

State lawyer Louis Solomon appeared to become frustrated with Ivanka Trump during her testimony in the Trump Organization civil fraud trial. Solomon questioned Trump about her descriptions of hotels and accused her of avoiding answering questions about her father’s financial statements. The court was also presented with a letter from the government agency that runs the Old Post Office in Washington expressing concerns about Donald Trump’s financial statements. Ivanka Trump, who is not a defendant in the case but was subpoenaed to testify, later traveled to Washington DC for a presentation to the agency but did not confirm whether her father’s financial statements were discussed. Trump’s lawyer, Chris Kise, argued that the topics being questioned were irrelevant to the case. The judge also criticized Ivanka Trump for a long answer during her testimony.
