Man Sets Himself on Fire in Front of Israeli Embassy in Washington

An unusual event unfolded today (Sunday) in front of the Israeli embassy in Washington, DC, the capital of the United States. A man, whose identity remains unknown, set himself ablaze outside the premises of the embassy building. The local fire and rescue services were alerted and arrived on the scene promptly. They informed that the man is currently in a critical condition and his injuries are severe, posing a threat to his life.

 

According to the fire services’ statement, the incident occurred around 1:00 PM local time. Upon their arrival, they discovered a man with burns in the ambassador’s mouth. The man was quickly transported to a nearby hospital where he is being treated and remains in critical condition.

Officials from the Israeli Embassy have provided a statement on the incident: “Today at noon, a man set himself on fire outside the Israeli Embassy building in Washington. He was immediately taken by ambulance to the hospital. The man’s identity is currently unknown, and all embassy staff are safe and unharmed.”
