Former attorney and fixer for Donald Trump, Michael Cohen, made a startling revelation during a live interview on MSNBC. He presented a document that he claimed exposed the former president’s unchanging tactics over the years. Cohen, speaking to anchor Jen Psaki, disclosed that he stumbled upon the decade-old note, seemingly written by Trump, in a drawer. However, Psaki emphasized that MSNBC had not independently verified the document.
The note, which Cohen held up for viewers to see, read: “Obama reps is (sic) using lightweight New York State Attorney General Eric Schneiderman to target political enemies.” This statement referred to Trump’s longstanding criticism of Schneiderman, who had filed a lawsuit against Trump University during his time as attorney general. Trump eventually settled the lawsuit, paying $25 million in fraud settlements to former students of his educational program.
During the interview, Cohen highlighted the pattern of behavior exhibited by Trump, stating, “He does the same thing over and over and over.” The conversation centered around Trump’s ongoing civil fraud trial, where New York Attorney General Letitia James accused him and his business of inflating asset values to secure loans from banks.
Cohen further emphasized the repetitive nature of Trump’s tactics, explaining, “All you have to do is remove Eric Schneiderman’s name from it, put it into Letitia James, or put it into Jack Smith, or put it into anyone. It’s the same language over and over.”
