Military Expert: Russia Utilizes Full Reserves in Recent Deployment

According to Ukrainian Armed Forces reserve Colonel and military expert Roman Svitan, the Russian military has deployed all available reserves to the frontlines in Ukraine. In an interview with NV Radio on November 8, Svitan stated that the Russians have committed their reserves in areas such as Avdiivka, Vuhledar, Robotyno, Luhansk, and Bakhmut. This means that their reserves are now fully engaged. As a result, Moscow is limited in its ability to respond to Ukraine’s increasing presence on the left bank of the Dnipro River in Kherson Oblast.

Svitan explained that transferring troops from one combat area to another leads to a loss of at least half their combat capability. Resting and replenishing the troops is necessary, and moving them exacerbates the problem. With no reserves left, the Russians are left with limited options. Furthermore, this operation takes a significant amount of time.

The locations of the frontlines pose challenges for the redeployment of Russian troops. There are almost no roads parallel to the front at a depth of 40-50 kilometers, making it difficult for the Russians to move their forces beyond the range of Ukrainian artillery.

On November 7, Ukrainian intelligence reported that Russians were preparing critical infrastructure in the occupied areas of Kherson Oblast with explosives, indicating their potential plans for a retreat.
