Former UN Ambassador Nikki Haley has defended her decision to accept corporate money, as she faced criticism from her rivals during the fourth Republican presidential debate. Haley, who has been gaining popularity in the polls and attracting interest from big-dollar donors, was targeted by Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and Ohio entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy.

Ramaswamy specifically criticized Haley for accepting a $250,000 donation from Reid Hoffman, co-founder of LinkedIn Corp., who has historically donated to Democratic candidates. However, Hoffman, along with other billionaires, sees Haley as a potential alternative to the current GOP frontrunner, Donald Trump.

Ramaswamy also accused Haley of being supported by Larry Fink, the CEO of BlackRock, whom he referred to as “the king of the woke industrial complex.” He claimed that Haley would be influenced by such support.

In response, Haley defended her decision to accept support from any source, stating that she has always been a conservative fighter. She emphasized her opposition to corporate bailouts and highlighted her Tea Party candidacy when she became governor.

Haley dismissed the criticism from her rivals, suggesting that they were simply jealous and wished they had similar support. She made her stance clear, stating, “We will take support from anybody we can take support from.”
