Notorious Pakistani Terrorist Eliminated in Jammu and Kashmir; IED Mastery and Sniper Training Confirmed

In the ongoing encounter in Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri, a Pakistani terrorist was killed after firing resumed following a night-long halt. Four Army soldiers lost their lives in the clash between security forces and terrorists in the Kalakot forests of Rajouri.

The terrorist, known as Quari, was a Pakistani national and held a high rank within the Lashkar-e-Taiba. He was sent to revive terrorism in the region and had expertise in IEDs, operating and hiding from caves, as well as being a trained sniper, according to the Defence Public Relations Officer (PRO) Jammu.

“He has received training on the Pakistan and Afghan front. He is a highly ranked terrorist leader of Lashkar-e-Taiba,” the officer stated.

Quari had been active in the Rajouri-Poonch area for the past year along with his group, and he is believed to be the mastermind behind the Dangri and Kandi attacks.

The encounter began after special forces of the army and the police launched a joint operation following intelligence inputs about the presence of terrorists in the forest area.

To prevent the terrorists from escaping, the area was cordoned off overnight and additional security forces were deployed in the highly forested region.

The Pir Panjal forest in Jammu and Kashmir has presented a challenge for the security forces in recent years due to a series of encounters. The terrorists take advantage of the dense forests to conceal their positions, exploiting the topography.
