Pakistan Cricket Fan ‘Chicago Chacha’ Supports India in World Cup 2023 Semi-Final

In the upcoming semi-final match of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023, India will face off against New Zealand on November 15 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, India. India has won the toss and elected to bat against New Zealand. Surprisingly, a Pakistani cricket fan has now become a supporter of the Indian team.

Mohammad Bashir, affectionately known as ‘Chicago Chacha,’ expressed his support for India due to his wife’s Hyderabad origins. He firmly believes that India will reach the final and ultimately lift the trophy. According to him, all the players in the Indian team, even down to number 7, are exceptional players. He also expressed his disappointment that there won’t be an India vs Pakistan match in the semi-final, blaming Pakistan’s poor performance for their absence.

In a Twitter post shared by ANI, Chicago Chacha can be seen expressing his support for India ahead of their match against New Zealand. He confidently stated his belief in India’s victory and their ability to bring home the trophy.

Furthermore, Bashir suggested that if India wins the toss in the semi-final, they should choose to bat first and set a high target of 350-400 runs. He believes that India’s strong bowling lineup will be able to defend such a total successfully.

On the other hand, New Zealand has had a rollercoaster journey in the tournament. Despite a promising start, they suffered four consecutive losses. However, they managed to bounce back with a victory against Sri Lanka in their last match, securing their spot in the semi-finals.

As the cricket world eagerly awaits the outcome of this highly-anticipated match, it is clear that even fans from rival countries are joining forces to support their favorite teams.
