Police Assures Stern Measures as Video Emerges of Gurugram Men Setting Off Firecrackers on Car’s Roof

A viral video showing firecrackers being set off from the roof of a moving car in Gurugram has sparked outrage on social media. The video, which surfaced shortly after Diwali, features three cars driving down the road, with one of them lighting fireworks from the vehicle’s roof. The cars intentionally have no number plates to avoid identification.

In the video, a man can be seen shouting and waving from the roof window of another car while firecrackers are ignited on the roof of a speeding vehicle. The incident occurred in Sector 70 of Gurugram, in front of a mall, according to the police.

The video was shared on Twitter by Greater Noida West, who criticized the youth of Gurugram for causing chaos in the name of celebration and hiding the number plates of vehicles to make videos. Since being shared, the video has gone viral on social media and caught the attention of the Gurugram police, who have launched an investigation into the incident. They have promised to take strict action against the culprits based on the information obtained.

In a separate incident in Tamil Nadu, a motorcyclist in Trichy performed a dangerous stunt involving firecrackers. The stunt, captured on video, showed the biker performing a wheelie while firecrackers were attached to the bike’s headlight and front number plate, detonating as the rider sped away. This prompted a police search for the individual, and a case has been registered for negligent riding and endangering the personal safety of others.

Both incidents have raised concerns about the misuse of vehicles and the potential dangers posed by such acts. Authorities are collecting information and footage from CCTV cameras to identify and take action against the individuals involved in these incidents.
