Houston Police Seek Help Identifying Robbery Suspects

The Houston police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying two individuals involved in a robbery that occurred in September. According to the authorities, the incident took place on September 28 at around 3 p.m. when a woman was checking out at a grocery store located in the 1300 block of W. 43rd. While in line, an unknown man stood behind her.

As the woman was leaving the store, the same man approached her and claimed that she had dropped $20 on the ground. When she opened her wallet to explain that the money did not belong to her, the man forcefully shoved the money towards her face, as reported by the Houston Police Department (HPD).

Taking advantage of the distraction caused by the money, the man managed to steal the woman’s debit card from her wallet. It was later discovered that all of the money in her account had been withdrawn from a nearby Chase bank located at 4320 Ella Boulevard shortly after the incident, according to police.

Surveillance footage from the Chase Bank revealed that the male suspect from the grocery store was accompanied by an unidentified woman who assisted him in emptying the victim’s account using the stolen debit card.

The Houston Police described the male suspect as a white male in his early to mid-60s, with the victim mentioning that he had an Eastern European accent.
