Two individuals lost their lives in a car accident that occurred in Pueblo over the weekend, as stated by the Pueblo County coroner on Monday through social media. The deceased have been identified as 39-year-old Raquel Gonzales and 32-year-old Aaron Brown, both residents of Pueblo. The fatal crash took place on Saturday evening in the 2600 block of S. Prairie Avenue.
According to a social media post by the police on Monday, officers were dispatched to the scene of a vehicle collision in the vicinity of Prairie Avenue and Aster Street. Upon their arrival, they discovered a vehicle that had collided with a tree. The two occupants of the car had to be extricated.
While Gonzales was pronounced dead at the scene, Brown was swiftly transported to a hospital where he succumbed to his injuries later on, as confirmed by the coroner.
Eyewitnesses of the accident claimed that Gonzales and Brown’s vehicle was being pursued by a dark-colored truck, which eventually collided with their car. This collision resulted in the driver losing control and crashing into the tree. The police are currently conducting an investigation into the incident.
