One of the notable features of the SmartTag 2 is its improved Compass View feature, designed for users with ultra-wideband-supported Galaxy smartphones. This feature provides arrows that indicate the direction and distance of the SmartTag 2 in relation to the user. Additionally, Samsung has made upgrades to its SmartThings Find app, which is integrated into Galaxy phones and connects to SmartTags. These upgrades include a full-screen map view and a user-friendly interface.
Similar to the SmartTag Plus, the SmartTag 2 is equipped with Bluetooth Low Energy and ultra-wideband capabilities. However, it should be noted that for the SmartTag 2 to function fully, it needs to be paired with ultra-wideband-enabled Galaxy smartphones running on Android 11 or higher.
