A deer that wandered away from a forest in Punjab caused chaos on the Jalandhar-Ludhiana Highway when it collided with a scooter, injuring the rider. The incident, which was captured on video and has since gone viral on social media, shows the distressed Sambar deer leaping over road dividers and running across lanes of traffic. In its frantic attempt to escape, the deer crashed into the scooter, knocking down the rider. Fortunately, the rider only sustained minor injuries.
After the collision, the deer continued its rampage, colliding with four more vehicles and causing damage to side-view mirrors, car doors, and even a windshield. Thankfully, no one else was injured during the incident. Eventually, the deer found its way into the basement of an electronic shop and was later trapped in a nearby factory.
Authorities from the forest department were notified, and a team was dispatched to the scene to safely capture the deer. The animal was then released back into the forests of Hoshiarpur in Punjab.
