Shakira Set to Release New Album, ‘Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran’ on March 22

The globally renowned artist, Shakira, has recently made an announcement regarding her upcoming album, ‘Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran’. This album is set to be released on the 22nd of March in 2024. This is an eagerly awaited album as it marks her return to the music scene after a hiatus of 7 years. It will stand as the 12th album in her illustrious discography. The news of this album was shared by the singer herself on her Instagram account, stirring up excitement among her fans.

In her announcement, Shakira expressed her heartfelt gratitude towards her loyal supporters, who she fondly refers to as “her pack of wolves”. She acknowledged their unwavering support and emphasized how they have been with her at “every step” of this journey. Furthermore, she expressed how the process of writing songs for this album has served as a transformative experience for her, helping her to “rebuild” herself.

Shakira added, “I did not create this album in isolation but with the collective support and encouragement of all of you and my pack of wolves who have been there with me throughout this journey. The production of this work has been akin to an alchemical process. As I wrote each song, I found myself undergoing a process of reconstruction. Through singing them, my tears turned into diamonds and my vulnerability transformed into resilience.”

Sony Music, Shakira’s record label, has also shed light on the contents of the album. ‘Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran’ will feature a total of 16 songs. This includes 8 brand new tracks and a remix. Additionally, it will also contain 7 singles that have been previously released by the artist. Some of these already released singles include collaborations with other artists such as ‘Music Sessions Vol. 53’ with Bizarrap, ‘TQG’ with Karol G, ‘Te Felicito’ with Rauw Alejandro, and ‘Copa Vacía’ with Manuel Turizo.

The audience at the Super Bowl game that took place on Monday, February 12, were given a sneak peek into the artist’s upcoming album through an advertisement. This advertisement was also shared by Shakira on her social media platforms, further heightening the anticipation for the album.

‘Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran’ will also be a significant release as it marks Shakira’s debut on vinyl. The album will be available in four unique art editions named ‘Diamante’, ‘Zafiro’, ‘Rubí’, and ‘Esmeralda’. Each edition will be distinct and will be associated with a specific color.

In Spain, these different physical editions of the album will be available for purchase. However, the ‘Zafiro’ edition will be exclusively available on Amazon. The ‘Rubí’ edition can be purchased at El Corte Inglés, Fnac, and SmfStore. Meanwhile, Shakira’s official website (Shakira.com) will be the only place where the ‘Esmeralda’ edition can be purchased. The ‘Diamond’ edition will be widely available across all stores.
