Sharon Osbourne Opens Up About Her Experience with Ozempic for Weight Loss
Sharon Osbourne, 71, has recently shared her journey with using the medication Ozempic for weight loss. In an interview with the Daily Mail, she revealed that she has now reached a weight of under 100 lbs due to the medication. However, she also expressed concerns about not being able to gain any weight back.
Osbourne admitted feeling too gaunt and expressed a desire to put on some weight. She stated, “I’m under 100 lbs., and I don’t want to be. Be careful what you wish for.” Ozempic, an FDA-approved prescription medication primarily used for people with type 2 diabetes, has gained popularity as a weight loss aid in Hollywood.
Numerous celebrities have openly shared their experiences with using Ozempic for weight loss. Osbourne started using the medication in December of last year and has since stopped. However, she issued a warning to her fans about its usage, particularly among teenagers.
While acknowledging the effectiveness of Ozempic in shedding pounds, Osbourne cautioned against giving it to teenagers, emphasizing the potential dangers. She explained, “You can lose so much weight and it’s easy to become addicted to that, which is very dangerous.”
Ozempic’s emergence as a weight loss trend among celebrities highlights its dual purpose as a medication for type 2 diabetes and weight management. Osbourne’s candid interview serves as a reminder of the potential risks associated with its usage, particularly when it comes to vulnerable age groups.
