Sniper Attacks in Inner Hand: Sasun Mikayelyan Reports 4 Victims and Several Wounded

In today’s report from Inner Khand, the president of Yerkhapah Voluntary Union (EKM), Sasun Mikayelyan, revealed that a sniper was operating on everyone present in the area. This alarming revelation was shared with “Azatutyun”.

Mikayelyan refrained from divulging further details but confirmed that an investigation into the situation on the battlefield is currently underway. He stated, “What is happening on the battlefield … is being investigated, it will become clear later, it will be informed. I will only say that a sniper worked on everyone.” This statement suggests that the full extent and implications of the situation will be revealed as the investigation unfolds.

The morning of February 13 saw the Armenian side suffer significant casualties due to Azerbaijani fire. This took place in the direction of Armenian positions situated in Nerkin Hand, Syunik marz. The fallout from this incident included four casualties and one wounded individual. It is noteworthy that all the victims, including the injured person, are members of EKM, confirming that the situation is of grave concern.

The Azerbaijani capital, Baku, responded to these events by announcing that it had carried out a “Retaliation” operation. The Azerbaijani side accused the Armenian side of violating the ceasefire in the direction of Inner Hand, leading to injuries to their border guard. This development highlights the escalating tensions and the breakdown of previously agreed upon ceasefire conditions.

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, during a government session today, characterized the events in Inner Khand as yet another demonstration of Azerbaijan’s destructive policy. This statement indicates that the ongoing conflict and current situation are viewed as a part of a larger pattern of aggressive actions by Azerbaijan.
