Son of Prominent Hollywood Agent Allegedly Enlists Day Laborers to Transport 3 Bags Containing Grisly Remains, Claim Workers

Samuel Haskell, the son of a prominent former Hollywood executive, has been accused by a group of day laborers of paying them $500 to dispose of three large trash bags full of body parts. The 35-year-old Haskell was arrested on November 8 in connection to the discovery of an “unidentified female torso” found in a dumpster in Los Angeles. The LAPD is also searching for Haskell’s wife, Mei Li Haskell, and her parents, Gaoshan Li and Yanxiang Wang, who are all missing.

According to NBC Los Angeles, the laborers stated that Haskell hired them on November 7 and initially instructed them to move three bags filled with rocks. However, upon feeling the bags and discovering they were soft and soggy, weighing approximately 50 pounds each, they decided to investigate further. To their shock, they found body parts, including a belly button.

Realizing they had been deceived, the laborers returned to Haskell’s home, returned the money, and left the bags on the driveway. They attempted to report the incident to an LAPD station but were turned away and advised to call 911. The LAPD has not yet provided a comment on the matter.

Sam Haskell III, Haskell’s father, is a former executive Vice President of the William Morris Agency, a renowned Hollywood agent who represented numerous high-profile clients such as Kathie Lee Gifford, Ray Romano, Whoopi Goldberg, Dolly Parton, and George Clooney. Haskell’s current company, Magnolia Hill Productions, has not responded to requests for comment.

The LAPD’s news release mentioned that Samuel Haskell and Mei Li Haskell have three children together, who have been located and placed with family members. Haskell is currently held on a $2 million bail and is scheduled to appear in court on Monday. It remains unclear whether Haskell has legal representation at this time.
