Speeding 23-Year-Old Causes Impoundment of Father’s Corvette

A 23-year-old man from Ontario was recently apprehended for driving his father’s C8 Corvette at three times the legal speed limit. The incident occurred earlier this month and resulted in the man being charged with stunt driving. As a consequence, his license was suspended for 30 days, and the Corvette was impounded for a duration of two weeks, according to the police.

The incident took place at the intersection of Humber West Parkway and Queen Street in Brampton, Ontario on November 14. The Peel Regional Police shared a photo on social media, capturing the moment when the Corvette was stopped by law enforcement. The accompanying image displayed a radar gun indicating a speed of 186 kilometers per hour, while the Corvette was being loaded onto a flatbed truck.

Driving at such excessive speeds poses a significant danger to both the driver and other road users. Many individuals on social media expressed their belief that the punishment for this offense was not severe enough. Regardless, it is safe to assume that the owner of the impounded Corvette, the man’s father, was displeased to discover that his prized vehicle would remain locked up in an impound lot for the next two weeks.
