Stellantis Records Highest Profit in 2023 Despite Strike

The Stellantis automobile group, a renowned company that came into existence as a result of the merger between Peugeot Citroën and Fiat Chrysler, recently reported a record-breaking profit for the previous year. The company’s profits peaked at 18.6 billion euros, equivalent to 19.9 billion dollars, marking an increase of 11 percent from the profits it recorded in 2022.

In addition to its impressive profit margin, Stellantis also reported a turnover of 189.5 billion euros, which amounts to approximately 203 billion dollars. This represents a 6 percent increase in turnover compared to what the company recorded in 2022. These financial milestones are a testament to the company’s robust business model and its ability to withstand market fluctuations.

On the sales front, Stellantis also made significant strides by selling 6.4 million vehicles globally, marking a considerable increase from the 6 million vehicles it sold in the previous year. The company, which markets an impressive portfolio of 14 different brands, saw a surge in its sales in various regions including Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and South America.

Stellantis attributes its successful sales performance to its popular models such as the Fiat Ducato, Opel Astra, and the Peugeot 2008 SUVs. Other models that contributed to the sales increase include the Jeep Avenger and Alfa Romeo Tonale. Despite experiencing a strike in the United States, the company managed to maintain a strong sales performance in North America, a region where it records most of its profits.
