A Florida woman was taken into custody by police after she allegedly attempted to harm an elderly woman over a thermostat adjustment, as reported by deputies. Breiland Springer was charged with battery on a person over the age of 65 following the incident that unfolded in Palm Beach County on November 2. According to the arrest affidavit from the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were called to a residential area at around 4:45 p.m. in response to a domestic disturbance. The victim stated that she had adjusted the thermostat around 1 a.m. when Springer approached her from behind and forcefully grabbed her face.
