Toyota Introduces Fully Hybrid Lineup and Unveils Striking ‘Hammerhead’ Design for 2025 Camry and Crown Signia SUV

Toyota has unveiled two new vehicles, the 2025 Camry midsize sedan and the 2025 Crown Signia midsize SUV, both of which will only be available with hybrid powertrains. These new models reflect Toyota’s commitment to expanding its electrified lineup and eventually offering a range of all-electric vehicles. The Camry and Signia showcase a new design theme called “hammerhead front,” characterized by narrow, horizontal lights. The vehicles are currently on display at the Los Angeles Auto Show and will go on sale next year. The Camry will be available in spring 2024, while the Signia will be available in summer 2024. Pricing and other details will be announced closer to the sales date.

The 2025 Camry features a dramatic design with a long hood, short rear deck, and wedgy profile. It will be powered by Toyota’s latest hybrid system, which includes a 2.5L gasoline engine and up to 232 horsepower. The Camry will no longer offer a V6 engine, but it will come with an all-wheel-drive option. The interior of the Camry will include an 8- or 12.3-inch touch screen, a digital instrument cluster, and various safety and driver assistance features such as blind spot alert, adaptive cruise control, and lane departure assist.

The 2025 Crown Signia, which replaces the Venza, is a midsize SUV that will also come with a hybrid drivetrain and all-wheel drive. It is expected to compete with models like the Chevrolet Blazer, Ford Edge, and Honda Passport. The Signia will have a more upscale feel compared to the Venza and will feature up to 21-inch wheels, a sleek profile, and the signature “hammerhead front” design. The interior will offer comfort and convenience features such as wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and a flat-folding rear seat.

Both the Camry and Signia represent Toyota’s commitment to hybrid technology and its goal of offering a more electrified vehicle lineup. These new models showcase Toyota’s dedication to innovation and sustainability in the automotive industry.
