Former President Donald Trump’s physician released a note on Monday stating that he is in “excellent health” and will continue to lead a healthy and active lifestyle for many years. The note was posted on Trump’s Truth Social account and coincided with President Joe Biden’s 81st birthday. The physical and mental health of both men have become significant factors in the 2024 presidential race.
According to the note, Trump, who is 77 years old, has managed to reduce his weight through an improved diet and regular physical activity while maintaining a demanding schedule. The note was signed by Bruce Aronwald, an osteopath from New Jersey, but provided no further details.
Aronwald wrote that Trump’s physical exams fell within the normal range, and his cognitive exams were exceptional. Currently, Trump is leading the Republican nominating contest by a significant margin, while Biden has expressed his intention to run for reelection.
In 2016, Trump’s former physician, Harold Bornstein, also released a similar note, stating that Trump had dictated its contents. Trump previously mentioned that he weighed 215 pounds (98 kg) and stood at 6 feet 3 inches (1.9 meters) in August when he was booked at an Atlanta jail on multiple felony charges related to his attempts to overturn the 2020 election results in Georgia. Trump has pleaded not guilty in that case and three other criminal cases against him.
