Tubi Introduces an Innovative AI Tool to Take You on an Exciting Journey

Tubi introduced a new AI-powered search tool called Rabbit AI for its iOS mobile app. The feature, which utilizes Open AI’s Chat GPT-4, aims to simplify the process of finding something to watch on the streaming service. Rabbit AI’s beta version was launched in the US on Tuesday, with plans to release other versions in the coming weeks.

The free streaming platform now offers audiences an additional option for searching its extensive collection of TV shows and movies. Whether it’s a unique genre or a more specific category, Tubi claims that the tool allows users to go beyond simple keyword searches and ask questions as they would to a friend. For example, users can ask for “horror movies with food” and expect to see results like “Slaw” or “Pastacolypse.” The app automatically saves search history, but users also have the option to save results to their personal watchlist, which will sync across multiple devices.

Rabbit AI is available to all Tubi users with the mobile app, regardless of whether they have a registered account or not. However, a registered account is required to save titles to the MyList feature. Users who stream content or save titles with the Rabbit AI tool will see personalized recommendations on their home screen based on their discoveries. Currently, Rabbit AI only works for on-demand videos, but Tubi plans to expand its functionality to include live content in the future.

While streaming services like Netflix, Disney Plus, and Hulu have implemented AI algorithms to analyze viewing habits and provide recommendations, Tubi is the first platform to integrate ChatGPT into its mobile app. A Rabbit AI plug-in is also available on Open AI for paid subscribers.

Tubi is a free ad-supported streaming service that offers over 200,000 TV show episodes and film titles, including reality TV, various movie genres, HBO hits, cult-favorite shows, and content for kids.
