A video circulating on social media captures a violent altercation between a group of Marines and civilians outside a popular nightclub in Texas. The incident occurred outside the Voodoo Room nightclub on Austin’s Sixth Street. According to reports, the fight erupted after a woman allegedly took a Marine’s phone and threw it away during a verbal argument. A young man in a white hoodie then attempted to punch one of the Marines but missed. This led to other Marines rushing to their colleague’s defense, resulting in a full-scale brawl between the two groups. Punches and blows were exchanged, causing chaos. One of the men was knocked down by the Marines after landing three punches. Bystanders at the scene cheered on the Marines, who outnumbered the civilians, chanting “USA! USA!”
The altercation was eventually broken up by Austin Police and Texas Highway Patrol officers. The video also shows a police officer arresting a civilian lying face down on the pavement.
