A 36-year-old man tragically lost his life after being punched by his wife for not taking her to Dubai on her birthday. The incident occurred in the couple’s upscale apartment in Pune’s Wanavdi area. The victim, identified as Nikhil Khanna, was a businessman in the construction industry and had been married to his wife, Renuka, for six years.
According to a senior police officer from the Wanavdi Police station, the altercation took place on Friday afternoon. Investigation revealed that the couple had an argument because Nikhil failed to fulfill Renuka’s desire to go to Dubai for her birthday celebration and did not present her with expensive gifts. Renuka was also upset that Nikhil did not agree to travel to Delhi for the birthdays of some relatives.
During the heated argument, Renuka forcefully punched Nikhil in the face, causing his nose and several teeth to break. As a result, Nikhil lost consciousness due to heavy bleeding. The police swiftly took action and registered a case against Renuka under IPC Section 302. She has been arrested for further investigation.
