As per the statements made by the prosecutors, it was alleged that the two individuals suspected of murder had plotted the killing of the artist, following Mizel’s decision to cut ties with the pair in the illicit drug business.
Stateside The murder trial involving Jason Mizellin, who was famously known as Jam Master Jay from the renowned Run DMC rap trio, took a significant turn as the prosecutors presented their closing arguments in New York on Tuesday.
Mizel met his tragic end in October 2002, when he was shot and killed in his own studio located in Queens. Prosecutors have stated that the chain of events leading to this horrific crime was closely linked to the illegal drug trade and the subsequent disagreements that arose from it. Two individuals have been charged in relation to this case, one of whom is believed to be the shooter and is also Mizel’s godson.
The prosecutors elaborated that the two accused of murder had hatched a plan to assassinate the artist, after Mizel decided to disengage from their drug dealing activities.
