Viral Sensation: Telangana Leader’s Video Takes the Internet by Storm

A video of Senior Congress leader and MP from Nalgonda, Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, has gone viral on social media, where he allegedly claims that Sonia Gandhi will make him the Chief Minister. The five-second clip shows Reddy addressing a poll rally in Nalgonda and stating in Telegu, “Sonia Gandhi is going to give the CM position to me if the party comes to power. There is no one senior to me here.” This video has emerged just before the November 30 elections in Telangana.

It is worth noting that the Congress party has not yet announced its Chief Ministerial candidate for the upcoming Telangana Assembly polls. However, there are several contenders within the party who have expressed their interest in the position. State Congress Chief Revanth Reddy, former State Chief Uttam Reddy, and Congress leader Madhu Yakshi Goud are among the potential candidates.

Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, who has been the Member of Parliament for Bhuvanagiri Parliament Constituency since 2019, is a prominent figure in the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee. He has also served as the Deputy Floor Leader of the Telangana Congress Legislative Party and was a former MLA of the Nalgonda Assembly constituency. Recently, his younger brother Komatireddy Rajgopal Reddy switched back to the Congress from the BJP and has been given a ticket to contest the upcoming elections.

In another incident, Nalgonda BJP District President K Sridhar Reddy was allegedly attacked by BRS workers. BJP State President and Union Minister G Kishan Reddy condemned the attack in a statement.

Telangana is scheduled to hold assembly elections on November 30, and the counting of votes, along with four other poll-bound states, will take place on December 3. The state is expected to witness a triangular contest among the BJP, BRS, and Congress. In the previous Assembly election in 2018, the BRS (formerly known as TRS) won the majority of seats, while the Congress came in second.
