Israel has declared its intention to continue its conflict with Hamas, even after a temporary ceasefire in Gaza, according to a statement from the prime minister’s office. The statement affirmed that the Israeli government, army, and security forces will persist in their efforts to rescue all the kidnapped individuals, dismantle Hamas, and ensure that Gaza no longer poses a threat to Israel. In response to the attack, Israel launched an extensive bombing campaign and ground offensive in Gaza. The Hamas government reports that over 14,100 people have been killed in the conflict, including nearly 6,000 children and almost 4,000 women. However, amidst these escalating tensions, a deal was reached on Wednesday. The agreement involves the release of 50 hostages in exchange for 150 Palestinians currently held captive in Israel, as confirmed by sources familiar with the negotiations.
