AAP Mocked by Congress and BJP for Failing to Secure Any Seats in 3 State Polls

The opposition Congress and the BJP have mocked the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) for its failure to win any seats in the recent assembly elections in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Chhattisgarh. They have urged the ruling party to shift its focus to Punjab.

Partap Singh Bajwa, a Congress leader, stated that the AAP government should learn from the election results. He criticized Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann for wasting money in the poll-bound states, while the AAP couldn’t even save its deposit. Bajwa, the leader of opposition in the Punjab Assembly, emphasized that the AAP should now concentrate on the state.

Jaiveer Shergill, a BJP national spokesperson, claimed that the AAP’s “exit countdown” has started in Punjab. He pointed out that the AAP contested over 200 seats in the three states but failed to win any of them. Shergill attributed the women voters’ trust in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership as the reason for the AAP’s defeat. He also criticized the AAP for not fulfilling its promise of providing Rs 1,000 per month to eligible women in Punjab.

Shergill further lambasted the AAP government for wasting crores of rupees from the state exchequer in campaigning for other states, while failing to fulfill their own promises in Punjab. He questioned why the government could spend money on expanding the party’s presence in other states but not provide financial aid to women in its own state.

The AAP’s failure in the recent elections has led both the Congress and BJP to ridicule the party, suggesting that its influence in Punjab is diminishing. However, the AAP has not responded to these criticisms yet.
