Azerbaijani Soldier Crosses into Armenian Territory in Tegh Village Area

Earlier today, an incident of considerable significance occurred in the Tegh village of Syunik marz, Armenia. An Azerbaijani soldier is reported to have breached the territorial boundaries and ventured into Armenian territory. This marks a significant development in the ongoing tensions between the two nations.

This incident was reported by the National Security Service of Armenia, the country’s leading authority on national defense matters. The occurrence took place at approximately 05:15 this morning. According to official reports, the intruding Azerbaijani serviceman was armed with an AKM type assault rifle. Along with the weapon, he also had a safe box in his possession. The Armenian Ministry of Defense servicemen responded promptly to the situation, managing to neutralize the armed individual.

Argam Hovsepyan, a respected member of the local council of elders, shared some insights into the incident with “Azatutyun”. He revealed that two Azerbaijani servicemen were involved in this breaching attempt. While one of them managed to evade capture and fled the scene, the other was discovered and apprehended by the Armenian contractors.

Hovsepyan further added that there had been noticeable unrest at the nearby Azerbaijani position since the previous night. He conjectured that this disruption may have been due to an internal dispute within the Azerbaijani ranks. This conflict may have led the two servicemen to escape their posts, inadvertently ending up on the Armenian side.

The Azerbaijani authorities, on the other hand, present a different account of the incident. Baku reported that an Azerbaijani army soldier, identified as Ruslan Panakhov, had lost his way in the Lachin region. They attribute his disorientation to unfavorable weather conditions, thus providing a non-hostile context to the incident.

In light of these occurrences, the Armenian authorities have taken the necessary legal actions. The investigative committee of Armenia has initiated criminal proceedings in connection with the incident. This marks the beginning of a legal investigation into the matter, the results of which will have substantial implications for the relations between the two countries.
