Rapper Russ’s home in metro Atlanta was burglarized in the early hours of Friday morning, as reported by Channel 2 Action News. Russ, whose real name is Russell Vitale, contacted the police after witnessing intruders in his home through his security cameras.
Upon arrival, law enforcement officers found clear evidence of a “ransacked” property. Almost every drawer in the house had been opened, and jewelry boxes were emptied. Russ, who was not present at the time, guided the police remotely using FaceTime and informed them about the stolen items.
According to Russ, the thieves took five firearms, including two Glock 19s, a C Z Scorpion, and two Walther handguns. Additionally, he noticed that two Chanel purses, valued at $24,000 in total, were missing. One was pink and worth $15,000, while the other was black and valued at $9,000. The burglars also stole his girlfriend’s 2020 Mercedes C Class AMG.
The police report revealed that two other vehicles in the garage had been tampered with, with personal belongings scattered throughout the passenger seats. One of the car doors was left open. Surveillance footage indicated that at least two, possibly four, individuals entered the house through the basement patio door around 10:15 p.m. on Thursday. Two suspects were seen leaving through the front door at midnight, one carrying a backpack. Two more individuals exited through the basement door while carrying suitcases. All of them were wearing gloves and jackets.
The stolen car was last seen entering Interstate 285 westbound from Riverside Road around 12:30 a.m. An ongoing investigation is being conducted by the police.
Channel 2 Action News reached out to Russ for a statement, but there has been no response yet.
