Buyer Witnesses Flying Deer Collide with Pickup Truck on Arrival

A video shared on Facebook by Jay Vaughn of southern New Jersey showcases an extraordinary display of athleticism by a deer. The footage, captured by a home security camera, depicts the deer sprinting and leaping over two parked cars in a driveway before colliding with a 2007 Chevy Silverado. Despite failing to stick the landing, the deer’s height, distance, and grace during the jump are truly remarkable. Unfortunately, the timing of the incident couldn’t have been worse.

According to Vaughn’s Facebook post, the Silverado that the deer crashed into had recently been listed on Facebook Marketplace and had a potential buyer interested. In the video, the alleged buyer can be seen arriving at the house just as the deer unexpectedly appears. With seemingly wings attached, the deer effortlessly clears both a Pontiac Vibe and a Honda CR-V before belly-flopping onto the side of the Silverado’s bed, causing a dent right in front of the owner and the potential buyer. The deer then awkwardly jumps out of the truck’s bed, kicking it once again on the way down.

The video, which can be found at the provided Facebook link, showcases a combination of graceful athleticism followed by a monumental fail, all occurring at the worst possible moment. As the deer collides with the truck, the buyer can be seen stepping out of their Tahoe, adding a comical element to the situation. One can only imagine the conversation that ensued between the owner, buyer, and the deer.

Interestingly, despite the fresh damage, the buyer still went ahead with the purchase. In response to some commenters, Vaughn claims that the buyer acquired the truck but received a $1,000 discount due to the incident.
